All I've got is a link to the moment in the wp-hackers discussion where someone mentioned doing up a test plugin.

Do you have a link to this model plugin or a place to search for? I may take a look into it.

Well, from my browsing around, it looks like there will be a relative functionality available. You'd probably be stuck making all "Private" posts unavailable, and then re-configuring them by hand at some later point, but I think there will be a workaround based on the Roles/Capabilities model. Someone already did up a model plugin for the tester community with a relatively similar functionality.

So I guess the best thing to do is just wait and see...

To be honest, I haven't had the time to figure out whether and how to migrate the functionality to WP 2.0. Anyway I also rely on this plugin so I am somehow blocked migrating to WP 2.0 until me or anyone else will release a plugin with similar functionality.

I guess this plugin is *not* going to be updated for WordPress 2.0, huh? I rely on it a lot, so this is a big issue for me, but it looks like 2.0 is altered in a way that would make rendering this plugin functional might be impossible. Or not?

[...] I have known about the “single-post-404″ problem with WP 1.5.x and PostLevels for a while, but have been too lazy to do anything about it. Well, I finally got the motivation to fix it. After browsing the web, I found a solution by Sören. Sören figured out exactly where the problem was and coded a branched version of PostLevels resolving the issue and adding a couple of features. Thanks! [...]

Hiya, I thought people using this plugin might be interested in a quick script I put together that will update entire categories with privacy and a specified post_level. It would be valuable to anyone moving to post_levels who has a good number of posts who doesnt want to update each post by hand with a new post_level :) More info here :
